Robert Bellack

Robert Bellack was named senior vice president and chief financial officer of the Los Angeles Times in Oct. 2003.

Since 1997 Bellack had served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Classified Ventures, a joint venture between Tribune and other media companies that focused on online classifieds. From 1996 to 1997, he was director of business development at the Chicago Tribune.

From 1994 to 1996, he served with Compton's New Media, a Tribune Company, as vice president of administration and operations/chief financial officer and as vice president and director of finance/chief financial officer. In 1994, he was vice president and general manager of Americomm Direct Marketing for the Chicago Tribune. Before that, he held various line operating and analytical management roles at the newspaper.

Bellack began his career at Tribune Company as a staff auditor in 1985.

A Chicago native, Bellack earned a bachelor of science degree from DePaul University and an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
