VidaCard Prepaid MasterCard

Access to affordable health care

Pacific Community Ventures has created an alternative for California businesses looking for a convenient and affordable health care benefit for their employees. VidaCard MasterCard is an employer-funded Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) linked to an electronic debit card and a discount dental plan. VidaCard MasterCard is not insurance, but it does enable employers to use tax-advantaged funds to help employees access basic health and dental care, when and where they need it. The VidaCard MasterCard is a great fit for organizations that want to provide some employee health benefit ($20-$200 a month) but can’t afford traditional insurance premiums.

Equity/Wealth-Sharing Programs

PCV's financial investments include requirements that all non-management workers share in the wealth created through the company's profitable growth. PCV also works with our financed and advised portfolio businesses to structure equity-sharing programs that empower employees to share in the "culture of ownership," participating in the upside they are helping to create.

Access to Financial Services

PCV, in partnership with Citibank, provides financial education workshops on site at portfolio companies to address workers' financial literacy needs. We also work with TaxAid to show lower-income workers how to take advantage of the Earned Income Tax Credit and other tax provisions to retain as much of their income as possible.
