Jasmine Thomas
Senior Vice President, Citi
Jasmine Thomas is the Senior Vice President and Relationship Manager for US Business Partnerships within Community Investing & Development at Citi. Jasmine leads Citi’s corporate initiatives and engagements with national civil rights, social justice, and consumer advocacy organizations to support innovative policies and solutions aimed to close wealth gaps among a range of consumer segments, including communities of color, senior citizens, LGBTQ, and people with disabilities. Previously, Jasmine served as the International Program Officer for Citi Foundation, making grants to nonprofits across nearly 100 countries where Citi operates. Prior to joining Citi, she was a program officer at the Surdna Foundation and launched the Strong Local Economies program, a national grants portfolio that invested in bespoke community and economic development programs as well as asset building initiatives for entrepreneurs and working families. Before Surdna, Jasmine began her career in philanthropy as a Program Fellow and later a Program Officer at The New York Community Trust. During her tenure, she helped administer a range of high-profile investment initiatives, including completing grantmaking activity and reporting for The September 11th Fund, Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund, as well as coordinating investments of the New York City AIDS Fund, a collaboration with Vogue magazine and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).
Jasmine has a bachelor’s degree in Government & Politics with a minor in Afro-American Studies from University of Maryland College Park where also was honored with the University President’s Award. She earned graduate degrees from both Teachers College Columbia University and New York University’s School of Social Work. Jasmine recently completed two Executive MBA degrees at Columbia Business School in New York and London Business School in London, UK. Currently, Jasmine serves on the Board of Directors for the American Bankers Association Foundation and an Advisory Board Member for The Read Alliance. Jasmine is also active in The Links, Incorporated.
