OAKLAND, CA – [October 22, 2026] –<\/span> Pacific Community Ventures (PCV) and <\/span>Aeris<\/span> Insight<\/span>,<\/span> announced today a long-term strategic <\/span>collaboration<\/span> to co-design and deliver the CDFI Data Commons<\/span>, alongside the annual industry conference at OFN in New Orleans<\/span>. Th<\/span>e Data <\/span>Commons<\/span> is <\/span>the <\/span>first<\/span>-of-its-kind shared data and predictive modeling platform <\/span>designed<\/span> to help <\/span>community development financial institutions (<\/span>CDFIs<\/span>)<\/span> better understand financial performance<\/span>, ass<\/span>ess repay<\/span>ment <\/span>likelihood<\/span>,<\/span> sp<\/span>eed <\/span>capital dep<\/span>loyment, <\/span>and measure the social, economic, and environmental impact of their lending.<\/span><\/p>\n

Through this strategic <\/span>collaboration<\/span>, PCV and Aeris will bring complementary <\/span>expertise<\/span> to the development of the CDFI Data Commons. Aeris will <\/span>contribute historical<\/span> financial and <\/span>portfolio performance<\/span> data <\/span>on<\/span> participating<\/span> Data Commons contributors<\/span>,<\/span> with their approval<\/span>, while PCV will <\/span>lead<\/span> predictive modeling, data science, and platform development<\/span> with the cohort of contributing CDFIs<\/span>. By combining Aeris\u2019s data resources with PCV\u2019s technical <\/span>expertise<\/span>, the organizations aim to help <\/span>CDFIs make<\/span> more informed lending decisions<\/span>, compare lending outcomes with industry peers, <\/span>and unlock<\/span> affordable capital and community impact at scale.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The pilot version of the CDFI Data Commons will include data representing national lenders, regional lenders, and place-based partners, creating a cross-section of CDFI models and experiences. Current Data Commons pilot partners include Grow America, JUST, LEAF, ACE, and Business Impact NW as well as PCV\u2019s own lending data. As development continues, PCV and Aeris aim to expand participation in 2027 and create opportunities for additional CDFIs to contribute to and benefit from the platform.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The collaboration reflects a belief that the future of data, technology, and ethical AI in community development finance depends on collective action. Through shared and fractional data services, CDFIs can access capabilities that may be difficult to build independently, creating opportunities to learn from one another, strengthen decision-making, and increase their overall impact<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
