Sachi Shenoy

Chief Data Officer

Sachi

Sachi has 30 years of experience at the intersection of data science, finance, impact investing, and economic development, with successful professional stints in entrepreneurship, microfinance, community development finance, sales and trading, and strategy consulting. Prior to PCV, Sachi co-founded Radiant Data and prior to that, served as Co-founder and Executive Director / Chief Impact Officer for Upaya Social Ventures, an international impact-first firm that has created over 50,000 jobs in underserved communities and has achieved eight exits, one-fifth of its investment portfolio. She has designed and deployed a number of innovative impact financing structures including revenue-based financing, convertible notes, “patient equity,” and recoverable grant products to encourage capital flows into high-impact communities.

Her focus now at PCV is to ensure that advances in machine learning and artificial intelligence positively effect greater financial inclusion, support small and medium-sized business growth, and create dignified jobs for communities that need them the most. She fundamentally believes that AI can, and should, enhance – and not diminish – human ability and agency.

For over a decade before crossing over to the non-profit space, Sachi held roles in capital markets at JP Morgan Chase, financial services / management information systems at PwC, and CDVCA. She was named to the Puget Sound Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” list and serves on the boards of The Rustandy Center at the Chicago Booth School of Business and Upaya. Sachi holds a graduate certificate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Data Science and Machine Learning, an MBA with honors in Finance and Entrepreneurship, and a BA in Economics both from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
