Registration for San Francisco’s Small Business Week is now open! The event will run from May 14th to the 18th and will include networking opportunities and numerous conferences about all things small business. PCV will be there and we hope you will be too!
Flavors of San Francisco kicks-off the week on Monday, May 14. Meet more than 1,000 small business owners and community leaders, while enjoying food from SF’s local restauranteurs. The list of conferences on Wednesday, May 20 is also up and includes talks about everything from local manufacturing to social media to doing business in China. Be sure to check out the following two sessions, which PCV put together for Small Business Week:
Small business owners are faced with so many different ways to optimize a retail space to drive sales. Each business model is different based on the size of the store and the style of goods. How do you effectively market your store to drive traffic? How do you convert traffic to purchases? How do you buy and manage the most productive inventory levels based on your customers and space? There are all questions to be addressed by Danielle Peterson, VP of Merchandising at Wantful.
Every entrepreneur should wake up in the morning and go to sleep at night understanding the key drivers that are making their business successful (or not). In this session, you will learn how to figure out what your 3 key financial metrics are to help you run a successful business. This session’s presenter, Chris Anderson, is Founder & CEO of Atlas Capital Strategies, sits on the board at PCV and has lots of experience working with entrepreneurs of all types. Chris is funny, approachable and, when it comes to understanding your business, doesn’t think any questions are dumb!
