Small Business Owner Spotlight: Cory Emberland

This week’s small business owner spotlight goes to Dr. Cory Emberland of DC-Bloomington Wellness Center. He came to us seeking help in strategic planning to refine business ideas and create a structured plan to hire new staff and change his role from completely hands-on to more executive leadership for the company. Cory had two amazing partnerships, the first with Gerald Bissett who provided help in stabilizing and growing the business. The second partnership was with Sravani Ramars Jillella Venkata who helped Cory with HR solutions and employee growth.

Cory told us, “I am grateful for the opportunity to work with both Jerry and Sravani. I used two concurrent mentors for most of 2017. It was the most challenging time I’ve had in my 18 years in business. Their support and guidance has helped me turn the page on a difficult chapter, providing me an opportunity to move forward in a new, positive direction in my business. Their partnership and that of BusinessAdvising.org has been transformational as a business owner. I am also grateful for the opportunity to connect and develop friendships with both mentors, that I hope can continue for a lifetime.”

Way to go Cory, Gerald, and Sravani! You guys are true successes.
