PCV Announces Our CGI America Commitment to Action!

Perhaps you’ve heard of the Clinton Global Initiative America, which convenes global leaders to create and implement innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.  Well, just two weeks ago, PCV joined hosts President Clinton, Secretary Clinton, and Chelsea Clinton in Denver for the CGI America’s meeting.

PCV was proud to participate in this two-day event which included hands-on workshops and awe-inspiring participants.  It was at this event where we officially added our commitment to action to a portfolio of innovative projects that has already touched the lives of more than 430 million people in over 180 countries.

Increasing our Reach

Piloted in the Bay Area in 2013 and followed by an official launch this year, PCV’s online platform, www.BusinessAdvising.org, is providing high-quality, cost-effective, volunteer assistance to entrepreneurs located in and/or hiring from low-income communities.  Through our customized algorithm, PCV is now able to match small business owners with advisors based on company challenges and volunteer expertise more efficiently than ever before.

At the CGI America’s Denver meeting, PCV publically committed to taking our existing Business Advising program to scale nationally through the innovative platform, www.BusinessAdvising.org.  With these efforts in place PCV can catalyze natation wide small business growth, and ultimately, economic opportunities in the communities that need them most.

A Commitment You Can Count On

Over the next five years, PCV has committed to scaling www.BusinessAdvising.org in order to reach an additional 2,200 businesses, creating more than 2,500 jobs that channel over $500 million in wages to low-income communities.

During the one-year term of our CGI America commitment, we will reach 600 businesses—up from 250 in 2013—and will help to create 800 net new jobs.  PCV projects that wages paid to residents of lower income neighborhoods -who are employees of these small businesses-, will exceed $150 million!

Have a Part in Positive Change

Whether it’s signing up to be an expert advisor or referring a small business for game-changing advice, you too can take part in PCV’s Commitment to Action.

Stay tuned for updates on PCV’s progress, and in case you haven’t already, be sure to check out the recently-launched www.BusinessAdvising.org , the platform that we believe can pave pathways to positive economic growth across the U.S.A.!
